Aimee Bobruk (Austin, USA)

Aimee Bobruk’s recent feature in Austin Monthly’s “10 Bands to Watch in 2010” is sending music lovers’ attention towards this quickly rising singer-songwriter, and justly so. In 2009, Performing Songwriter boldly pronounced her album, The Safety Match Journal, as "nothing short of a work of art."  While her music alludes to traditional folk and rock genres, it is her distinctive voice and ambient arrangements combined which form the compositional mosaics that set Bobruk apart as a true indie-pop gem. As Maverick magazine states, "she takes every opportunity to defy convention."  Currently, she is busy at work recording her new 2011 album with legendary producer and engineer Brian Beattie (Daniel Johnston, Okkervil River, Shearwater, Roky Erickson). The album is fan-funded (www.kickstarter.com search Aimee Bobruk) and those that contribute will see her chronicling the recording process in video and photo blogs.  In addition to performing, Bobruk is first and foremost a songwriter.  She is pleased to be a part of Austin´s The House of Songs, through which she has written and published songs with over a dozen Danish songwriters.  Her most recent co-write "It´s About Love" highlights her collaborative spirit with the up and coming Danish band, Hush.

In 2006, Bobruk took the prize in the “Mountain Town Stages: Slopeside Serenade” songwriting contest and in 2008 she was selected as a regional finalist for the nationally acclaimed New Song Mountain Stages Songwriter Festival.  Her songs have been featured in the award winning documentary "Team Everest," and Bobruk continues to share the stage with legendary players such as: Alejandro Escovedo, Dr. John, Ian MacLagan (Faces, Rolling Stones), Butch Hancock, Joe Ely, Jimmie Del Gilmore, Freedy Johnston, Ruthie Foster, Ian Moore, David Garza, Thao and the Get Down Stay Down and Michael Fracasso.

Boy In Blue a.k.a. svenske Tobias Thomhave vil med sine flotte tekster der handler om livet, døden og kærligheden, indvie os i hans forunderlige univers. Med sin enestående stemme og de fortryllende melodier er vi sikret en oplevelser ud over det sædvanlige.  Som han selv lægger vægt på taler han igennem sine sange og lader musikken fortælle sine egne historier.
Boy In Blue har optrådt på Sziget-festival i Budapest, som er en af Europas største, til Århus Festuge og over det meste af Danmark og Sydsverige.
